The Mammary 500 is a 3-day motorcycle ride covering approximately 500 miles of the Oregon coast and central Oregon.
The mission of our organization is to raise awareness for the prevention and cure of breast cancer. We raise money to support breast cancer research, as well as survivors and their families.
Funds raised at the 1st Annual Mammary 500 were used to support innovative and promising breast cancer research at the Legacy Research Institute. Additional funds are needed in order to continue the work.
The Mammary 500 motorcycle ride is our principal event that exposes our organization to the community. We hope to grow to the point that we can continue to raise awareness and funds year round.
Marcos Barnatan, M.D., a vascular surgeon and the Founder and President of NW Moto MDs, created the Mammary 500 in 2016. Dr. Barnatan’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013.
